An Individual Logger Member may be an individual or logging business that supports the mission of the American Loggers Council.

1. The American Loggers Council recommends that an individual logger first support his/her State and/or Regional logging association if they are already participating in ALC activities. Logging professionals are encouraged to help support the efforts of the American Loggers Council “above and beyond” their State and Regional Logging Association dues through the “Individual Logger Memberships.”

2. Individual Logger Members will not be considered voting members of the Association, but may participate in any and all American Logger activities with the exception of the ALC Executive Committee meetings.

3. One member of the Individual Logger Member group will be nominated by the Individual Logger Members to sit as a voting member on the American Loggers Council Board of Directors.

4. The ALC recognizes that strength is in numbers, and that the more professional timber harvesters throughout the United States that are participating and supporting the activities of the ALC, the stronger our organization will become. We encourage the formation of State and/or regional professional logging organizations where they currently do not exist and are willing to assist you and your fellow loggers to organize a State and/or Regional professional logger organization.

5. By signing on as an ALC Individual Logger Member, you are showing your willingness to aid the American Loggers Council, when needed, in contacting your state’s elected officials in support or in opposition of legislation that the ALC Board of Directors has determined will have an impact on your logging business. The ALC will not ask you to take a position that contradicts you or your state association’s opinion on an issue.

6. All communications from the ALC office will be by E-mail, unless a sense of urgency exists and then you will be contacted by phone or fax.


All individual logger memberships will be due January 1 of each succeeding year. There is no pro-rata rate available based on the date of initial membership.
